Pick a regulated exchange

Coinbase, Kraken, and Gemini are all US-regulated exchanges with beginner-friendly apps. We use Coinbase as the example below because its onboarding is the fastest for a first-time buyer, but any exchange that supports the coin you need works fine.

STEP 02

Create your account

Sign up with your email and a password, then confirm your phone number by SMS code. This step alone usually takes under two minutes.

STEP 03

Verify your identity

Upload a photo of your government-issued ID (driver's license or passport) and take a live selfie for a face match. This "KYC" check is required by law for every regulated US exchange, not just Coinbase — it typically clears in a few minutes, though it can occasionally take up to a day if it needs manual review.

STEP 04

Add a payment method

Link your debit card for an instant (but higher-fee) purchase, or connect your bank account via Plaid for a lower-fee purchase that settles in 1–5 business days. You never share your online banking password directly with the exchange — Plaid handles that connection.

Buy the coin you need

Tap "Buy," choose BTC, BNB, SOL, TON, or USDT, and enter an amount slightly above your PearlStore order total. Exchange fees typically run 0.5–4% depending on payment method, so a small buffer keeps the fee from eating into the exact amount you need to send.

STEP 06

Copy your PearlStore address

Head back to your PearlStore order page and copy the wallet address and network shown there — that combination is where your crypto needs to go.

STEP 07

Send your crypto

In your exchange app, tap "Send" (sometimes called "Withdraw"), paste the PearlStore address, and confirm the network matches exactly — for example, USDT must be sent on BSC (BEP-20), not Ethereum (ERC-20) or Tron (TRC-20).

💡Sending the right coin on the wrong network is the single most common way people lose funds. Always match the coin and network shown at PearlStore checkout exactly, and send a small test amount first if you're ever unsure.

Wait for confirmation

Your payment is verified automatically once it has enough network confirmations — no need to submit anything on our end. Your Bantyr pearls are then delivered to your Bantyr account, usually within 1–3 hours.

Yes. Coinbase is a publicly traded (Nasdaq: COIN), US-regulated exchange used by tens of millions of people. Cash balances are held in custodial bank accounts eligible for pass-through FDIC insurance up to the standard limits, and identity documents are handled with the same standards a bank would use. Crypto holdings themselves are not FDIC-insured — that protection only ever covers cash.
Do I have to use Coinbase specifically?
No — any exchange that supports the coin you're paying with works fine, including Kraken, Gemini, or Binance.US. We walk through Coinbase because it's the fastest first-time setup for US users.
What fees should I expect?
Exchange fees vary by payment method and platform, roughly 0.5% for bank transfers up to 3–4% for instant debit card purchases, plus a small network fee when you withdraw. Buying a few dollars above your order total covers this so the amount that arrives is enough.
What if I send the wrong amount?
If you send less than required, contact payments@help.mypearlstore.store with your order ID and we'll help you top up the difference or issue a refund. If you send more, the excess is not automatically refunded, so double-check the amount before sending.
How long does the whole process take?
Most first-time users are fully set up and have sent their payment within 10–15 minutes, including identity verification. Bank-funded purchases can take longer to settle before you can withdraw, so a debit card is faster if you need to pay right away.
